Product Care & Troubleshooting
A few simple checks fix most issues, and good care keeps your products working and lasting longer. Start at the top and work down, and reach out any time if you still need help.
My toy will not turn on. What should I try first?
Start with fresh batteries, and remove batteries when the toy is not in use, since some drain even when off. Then check that you used the correct size and number of batteries listed on the product page, and that they face the right way per the markings in the compartment.
I just received my toy and it will not power on.
Many toys ship with a small paper or plastic tab in the battery compartment that you have to remove first. Bullet and peanut vibrators in particular often come with batteries pre installed and a pull tab. Remove it and try again.
How do I charge a rechargeable toy?
Many rechargeable toys arrive partially charged. If yours powers on out of the box, use it until it fully depletes before the first charge. Then charge for about 6 to 8 hours, unless the instructions say otherwise, using the cable provided.
Should I use rechargeable batteries?
No. Standard alkaline batteries work best. Rechargeable batteries can be slightly larger and may make it hard to close the compartment or keep a good connection. Recycle any rechargeable batteries at a drop off location, which you can find at call2recycle.org/locator.
It still will not work after new batteries.
Check the battery cap. Screw cap toys need the cap seated correctly, sometimes tightened fully and sometimes loosened slightly to make contact. If the spring in the compartment looks compressed, a gentle tug on it can restore the connection.
My new toy has a strange smell.
Rubber, PVC, and vinyl materials often have an odor from manufacturing. Let the item air out, then rinse it with warm water and a little baking soda. The smell fades with regular cleaning using warm water and an antibacterial toy cleaner.
How do I clean and store my toys?
Clean before and after each use with warm water and an antibacterial toy cleaner, dry the item fully, and store it in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Take the batteries out during storage. Following the care notes on the packaging keeps your products working and lasting longer.
